Shannon will step up for Valdese by:

- Being a strong advocate of our Parks & Rec that support youth sports and activities

- Being steadfast in pursuing long-term business growth in our community
- Embracing all areas of Valdese, using its resources to bring viable income to our town and small businesses

Working side by side with our citizens and Parks and Recreation to expand on more youth programs. Staying involved in community outreach and helping create business growth utilizing all resources Valdese has to offer to bring more revenue to our town.” -Shannon
Background
Shannon and her family chose Valdese as their home in 2017. Her family had a 20-year commitment to the US Military prior to moving to Valdese. Shannon and her husband
served as dual military family early on in their careers. Before moving to Valdese her family moved cross country from state to state as their naval careers advanced. After
meeting her husband while stationed in Japan, Shannon completed her 5 years of service with the US Navy. Following her military service Shannon continued a
successful career in the dental field. Shannon worked full time while earning her Associates of Science Degree in Interior Design from Florida State Community College.
After graduating Shannon continued her career in the dental field as well as opening their family businesses and raising their young family.
Shannon and her husband Justin have 3 beautiful children that all attend schools in Valdese. Shannon has a passion to stay committed to our youth. Ensuring they have a
path to success. She feels the decisions we make today will have the biggest impact on our future leaders of tomorrow.
- Shannon enlisted in the US Navy in 1999. She served 5 honorable years as an Expanded Functions Dental Technician. Shannon was awarded several medals, ribbons, and accommodations while proudly serving our great nation.
- Shannon’s time in service and being an entrepreneur for over 13 years have instilled the tenacity and ambition it takes to be a public servant. She desires to make a vast difference in the place she calls home.
- Shannon is a member of FAM Church.
- Shannon is involved in several youth organizations in Valdese: PTO, Boosters, Valdese Rec, VBS, Draughn HS Touchdown Club
- Serves on Town of Valdese Recreation Commission
- Business owner in the Town of Valdese
